A Fairytale.
Once upon a time, there’s a Princess, named Dark. No worries, she’s pretty enough for someone with that name.
She’s intelligent, and wise enough. But of course, there’s a reason why she named like that. She’s so quiet, and always mysterious. She’s just spoke to limited people, and when she speaks, she’s sounds like a true queen so people feel a little afraid to be near her.
Princess Dark loved to be alone, playing with her thought and imaginations. She’s like have a her own world. And she’s think it’s enough.
But one day, this Princess, met someone who changed her mind. or her heart. Guess who? Yes, a Prince.
This Prince, is a real opposite from Princess Dark. Even his name is Prince Light.
Prince Light is look like a charming prince. And the Princess was so mesmerized when she meet the Prince. But Prince Light, just like his name, living in a lot of brightness, always on the glowing spot. When he’s meet Princess Dark, he saw her like just a ordinary Princesses.
But they’re being friends. Princess Dark was smart woman and Prince Light was a kind man. They send a lot of letters, exchange their thought, talking about almost everything.
But still, they keep a distance. You ask why? Well.. It’s probably because Princess Dark haven’t open her heart.. or Prince Light have another princess which he loved.
Both reasons is true. Princess Dark too afraid to give all her heart, and she can’t tell Prince Light how much she love him. Prince Light love Princess Dark too, but he already engaged with another princess. So they think, they can’t belong together.
That just a while. When they realized each other feelings, they get married.
And one day, something bad happen to their kingdom. There’s a war, and Prince Light lost most of his precious thing.
Prince Light was so upset. He’s become depressed, silent, and sick. He’s not glowing anymore like Princess Dark always known all this time.
Its hurts Princess Dark too. She’s try to comfort him, but it doesn’t works. So when things getting worse, Princess Dark ask her wish to The Witch.
“Give him The Light,” She’s begging. “Like he should be. I’ll exchanged with anything.” And Princess Dark starts crying.
The Witch hear Princess Dark’s wish and answer: “I can give him light. But I must take something equal to replace it.”
“I could give you my crown. Or anything.” said Princess Dark. But The Witch says: “If I give him light, I should take a light.”
“What is that? Where I should find it?” ask Princess Dark. The Witch answers: “It’s the light in you. Your light for him. I’ll take it.”
Princess Dark was so confuse and sad. But she’s telling The Witch, she could take that. Before The Witch take it from Dark, she warn her. “If I take the light in you, you’ll always be a shadow. You can’t shine. Light will kill your existence.” But Princess Dark still said yes.
So The Witch take her light, and give it to Prince Light. And Prince Light suddenly wake up, with brighness around him again. But when Prince Light looking for Princess Dark, he never found her. Everyone always said she is near him, but he can’t see her.
Because everytime Light appear, he will erase Dark existence.
Prince Light always keep searching for his wife although he never found her. And Princess Dark still love Prince Light although she can’t be near him. They’re not together, but they just… Always love each other and that’s enough.
I’m sorry, but this is not a Happily Ever After story. This is the end of the story. But, I hope it’s telling u what is love, and sacrifice. That’s my fairytale. Goodnight, love. Wherever you are. ♥
